Unique Boutique Events is delighted to announce that Sidmouth Eats Boutique will continue its partnership with Kennaway House, returning to the lawn on the 2nd Friday of the summer months and is timed perfectly to be a fringe event to Taste East Devon, on Friday 8th September.
This food festival is a collaboration of East Devon food businesses hosting events in a 2 week period across the district. It chimes with the values of Sidmouth Eats - a celebration of all the flavours in East Devon, and Sidmouth Eats is delighted to be throwing the spotlight on the ingredients that street food traders source from right here on our doorstep.
Sidmouth Eats Boutique is a family friendly, budget friendly street food market giving people the opportunity to get together and share fantastic global street food in a market atmosphere on Friday evenings. The popular event hosts a selection of local street food traders plus resident pop-up pub The Salty Arms. The backdrop of Kennaway House and the leafy surrounds complement the cool and laid back vibe.
“What better way to nourish friendships than to join the community dining table and take a culinary trip around the world?” says organiser Eleanor Carr. “In the current financial climate we’re so pleased to be able to continue our Eats Boutique events”.
These intimate markets are a great addition to the local events calendar, keeping people in the town and supporting surrounding businesses. Sidmouth Eats Boutique wants to champion local entrepreneurship, local businesses and local producers. A number of the street food traders are based in East Devon, and The Salty Arms stocks a range of drinks produced in the area including Sidmouth’s own Four Elms apple juice. Eleanor herself is an East Devon resident and has built up her Eats Boutique event series into a micro business, popping up in Seaton, Axminster and Lyme Regis, in addition to Sidmouth Eats Boutique.
