Master the art of making kimchi (an incredible ingredient to help support gut health) in this brilliant workshop with fermentation expert Rachel de Thample.
In Korea, every region and season inspires a unique kimchi incarnation, with classic recipes being led by traditional medicinal dictates. During this workshop, Rachel will guide you through different techniques to inspire a myriad of different flavours you can produce at home throughout the year.
The workshop will start with a garden tour where we’ll be gathering produce to make two different types of kimchi. You’ll then learn how to make a spice paste (tailored to your palette) before bundling two types kimchi into jars.
The session will end with a tasting of different styles of kimchi, including Rachel’s Green Tomato Kimchi from her new book The Fermentation Year (which is published a week after the workshop but we’ll have some early copies available should you wish to get an early copy).
